Are you ready to say I Do? Time to get your catering sorted then!

Since the nation is slowly healing and transitioning to the endemic phase, wedding season has returned, and it's such a lovely sight to finally have a gathering of all your loved ones at your special day. But then again, during the pandemic, most of us might have a change of feelings especially when the pandemic has taken a toll on most relationships and perhaps you’re hearing stories of your friends breaking up.

It’s a little sad, no?

So how would you know if you are finally ready to say “I Do”? For us, weddings are a celebration that is meant to last a lifetime. The memories, the people, and your significant other.

One thing we know is to forget about their fear and go in with an open heart. A marriage is a sacred union between two individuals, sharing life together forever and creating new memories and building your own family. That’s such a beautiful feeling if you’d ask us.

Here’s what we have learned so far to know if an individual is ready to walk down the aisle and say yes.

1. Finally Ready for Commitments

You are now prepared to tackle a considerably broader spectrum of commitments than you were before marriage. Indeed, you require more time to solidify your heart before you are ready to accept the next phase of life. Be honest with yourself; don't let your desire to please others cause you to be dishonest with yourself.

For example, if you want to follow in the footsteps of friends who are already married, you keep saying 'yes' to getting married without thinking about your commitment. While you are not prepared to face future commitments. However, if you're truly ready, it's an indication that you're ready to enter a marriage with significantly more obligations.

Each has its own commitments including carrying out responsibilities as a wife and also a husband, a mother and father and also as a child to his parents.

2. Dare to Face Changes

Everyone is aware of the changes that will occur following marriage. Many things will change in our lives in terms of living, the economy, and obligations. In order to marry, one must be sincerely willing to accept and accept all of the changes that occur.

If you are still fearful of change, you will require more time to mentally prepare yourself for a new existence after entering the domain of marriage.

One example is that some of our lifestyles before marriage include spending time with our friends till late at night. Not saying things would have to change after marriage, but spending time outside at wee hours shouldn’t be a habit anymore. Especially when you’re trying to start a family.

3. Already Convinced To Be The Best

Each individual suffers from a lack of self-confidence. We sometimes feel as if we simply couldn't afford to do our best for the people we care about. In reality, some are used as an excuse to avoid weddings, even when we are prepared in other ways.

In truth, everyone has their unique set of advantages and disadvantages. All you have to do is be yourself, that is, do everything to the best of your skills.

If your partner genuinely loves you, they will be willing to tolerate both their partner's excellent and poor qualities. Be confident in your ability to provide the best for your relationship and tolerate your partner's flaws.

4. Be Prepared To Face Conflict

Differences of viewpoint, as well as communication flaws, can lead to conflict between husband and wife. If you are still terrified to confront the conflict that will inevitably arise, you do not have the strength to cope with such problems.

As an example, throughout your familiarity with him, you still do not know the genuine character of your spouse. You will notice alterations in her personality when you have established a household.

What is the most logical course of action? How about divorce? No. That is not a viable option. Look for aspects of compatibility and learn to get to know your true companion. Change the paradigm and work through it together.

So if you said yes to the statements above, then you are really ready to get married.
